Victor Osimhen agrees £250,000-a-week, five-year deal to join Man United
Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed on a five-year contract worth £250,000-a-week to join Manchester United, with a transfer fee of around £51 million, according to Turkish media reports.
Exit looming after Napoli fallout
The 26-year-old forward, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, is expected to depart Serie A at the end of the 2024/25 season after falling out with the Italian club’s board. While Galatasaray have expressed interest in keeping the Super Eagles star, but are unwilling to match his release clause fee.
Turkish journalist Serdar Ali Celikler claims Osimhen, who has a €75 million release clause for foreign clubs, already has a basic agreement in place with Manchester United. Fellow journalist Aygün Özipek reports that personal terms have been finalised.
Manchester United have long been in the market for a reliable centre-forward. Their struggles in front of goal have persisted over recent seasons, with inconsistent form and injuries hampering their attacking options. Osimhen’s arrival could finally provide a solution.
The former Lille striker has been prolific, netting 29 goals and six assists in 34 matches for Galatasaray this season.
Perfect fit for Old Trafford
Now approaching his prime, Osimhen’s pace, power, and lethal finishing could prove a massive asset for United as they look to rebuild under a new sporting structure.
A formal announcement is expected once Manchester United finalise negotiations with Napoli, with the transfer shaping up to be one of the summer’s biggest moves.
