Nnamani heads NIPSS board, as Anyim, Shaibu, others bag appointments

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Ken Nnamani as Chairman, Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), while former Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, was named Director-General, Nigerian Institute of Sports, in fresh appointments made by the President.

Bayo Onanuga writing on his X handle, displayed a full list of new appointments made by the President which also include Anyim Pius Anyim, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, who was named Chairman, National Merit Award Committee.

Others include Omobolanle Obe, Director-General, National Senior Citizens Centre, Abuja, Segun Aina, Director-General, Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, ASCON Badagry, Ayodele Olufemi, Executive Director (Monitoring and Implementation), Nigeria–São Tomé Joint Development Authority, while Babaranti Rasheed, was named Executive Director (Finance and Administration), Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC).

Onanuga said Asabe Bashir was named Director-General, National Centre for Women Development, Jalo Zarami, Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission, Joseph Kigbu Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission and Momoh Jibril , who was appointed as Board Member, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN).

The President also appointed Isa Aremu, a veteran Labour leader, as the Director General of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, while Hamza Baba takes over as National Program Manager, of the Government Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Program, (GEEP).

The President also named Shehu Danfulani as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, while Babaranti Rasheed and Abubakar Jarengol, were appointed as Executive Director ( Finance and Admin) and Executive Director Operation/ Technical, respectively.
