Bumpa Launches Strategic Partners’ Program to Scale Digital Commerce Across Africa; Calls for Applications
In a significant move to scale digital commerce across Africa, Bumpa today launched its comprehensive Partners’ Program – a structured initiative designed to empower organisations and business support networks to drive digital adoption among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Africa.
Small businesses are the backbone of Africa’s economy, yet many struggle with digital adoption, operational inefficiencies, and access to the right tools for growth. While Bumpa has successfully provided thousands of MSMEs with digital commerce solutions, scaling awareness and adoption remains a key challenge. The Bumpa Partners’ Program directly addresses this gap by creating a network of trusted representatives who will onboard, train, and support MSMEs in leveraging digital tools to grow their businesses.
“With the Bumpa Partners’ Program, we’re creating a win-win ecosystem where organisations already working with small businesses can generate sustainable revenue while helping these businesses digitise and scale,” said Kelvin Umechukwu, Co-founder and CEO of Bumpa. “Our goal is to reach every corner of Africa with digital commerce solutions tailored for small businesses, and we can only achieve this by empowering local partners who understand the unique needs of their communities.”
The program will start with a pilot cohort of 25 partners in Nigeria, with plans to expand to over 50 partners across 15 states and over 200 partners across Africa. Partners will include Innovation Support Organisations (ISOs), dev shops, software resellers, and business consultants who will manage their own teams of Bumpa Experts and Champions to provide hands-on support to MSMEs.
What Partners Will Receive:
● Financial Incentives: 20% commission on all Bumpa product subscriptions revenue, opportunities for paid services, and Financial support for MSME focused events
● Comprehensive Training: Access to structured certification programs via the Bumpa Business Academy, virtual and field trainings, and mentorship
Founded in 2021, Bumpa has grown to support over 50,000 businesses across Nigeria, managing millions of orders with a GMV exceeding $75 million. The platform simplifies business management by providing MSMEs with tools to establish an online presence, manage sales and inventory, and engage with customers—all from a mobile-friendly platform. The new Partners’ Program will help Bumpa reach many more small businesses by working with local organisations that can teach business owners how to use these digital tools. This creates mutual benefits where small businesses grow faster and partner organisations earn money while helping them.
How to Apply:
Organisations interested in becoming Bumpa Partners must demonstrate:
● Experience working with MSMEs
● Capacity to deliver training and business development programs
