Healthcare Federation of Nigeria partners HBA to transform healthcare sector

The Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has partnered with the Health Business Academy for Africa (HBA) to strengthen healthcare operations in the country through strategic collaboration and capacity building.

The official signing ceremony took place on August 14, 2025, at the HFN Executive Office in Ikoyi, Lagos. Speaking at the event, HFN President Njide Ndili emphasized the federation’s ongoing mission to empower the private healthcare sector through world-class training and industry-focused collaboration.

“At HFN, we are committed to raising the standard of healthcare delivery in Nigeria. This partnership allows us to equip healthcare leaders and organizations with the skills, systems, and strategies needed to succeed in an evolving ecosystem,” she stated.

She further highlighted that the alliance with HBA will give HFN members access to global best practices in executive education, business strategy, and operational excellence — enabling them to scale sustainably and compete internationally.

Wale Olajubu, Executive Director of HBA, echoed the strategic value of the partnership. “Together, we aim to catalyze a transformation that builds both capacity and credibility for Nigerian healthcare enterprises on the African and global stage,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, HFN First Vice-President Ayodele Benson-Cole underlined the critical need to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and business performance. “Sustainable healthcare depends on leaders who are as fluent in management as they are in medicine. This collaboration addresses that gap head-on,” he noted.

Olufemi Akingbade, Secretary of HFN, pledged active follow-through to ensure the partnership delivers real results. “This is more than a ceremonial agreement. Our focus is on execution — through targeted programs and strategic engagement that bring tangible benefits to our members and the wider sector,” he stated.
